Getting Started
Everything you need to start playing competitive chess with USDC stakes in under 5 minutes.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- A web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Brave, or Edge)
- MetaMask wallet extension installed
- USDC tokens on Polygon network
- A small amount of MATIC for gas fees (~$0.01)

Quick Start
Connect Your Wallet
Visit chessstake.com and click "Connect Wallet" in the top right. Select MetaMask and approve the connection request.
Switch to Polygon Network
If prompted, approve the network switch to Polygon. ChessStake uses Polygon for fast, low-cost transactions.
Create or Join a Match
Go to the lobby and either create a new match with your desired stake, or accept an existing challenge.
Approve USDC Transfer
When both players are ready, approve the USDC transfer to the escrow smart contract. This is a one-time approval per stake amount.
Play and Win!
Play your game. The winner automatically receives 80% of the pot directly to their wallet.

The winner receives 80% of the total pot. 20% goes to the protocol for maintenance and development.
Non-Custodial
Your funds are never held by ChessStake. The smart contract manages all transactions transparently.
Instant Payouts
Winnings are sent automatically when the game ends. No manual claims or waiting periods.
