Polygon Network Configuration
ChessStake runs on Polygon (formerly Matic) for fast and cheap transactions. Most wallets will add Polygon automatically when you connect. If you need to add it manually:
Getting USDC on Polygon
You'll need USDC on Polygon network to play on ChessStake. Here are the best ways to get it:
Centralized Exchange
Buy USDC on Coinbase, Binance, or Kraken and withdraw directly to Polygon network.
Bridge from Ethereum
Use Polygon Bridge or a third-party bridge to move USDC from Ethereum to Polygon.
Direct Onramp
Use MoonPay, Transak, or Ramp to buy USDC directly with card or bank transfer.
Swap on DEX
Use Uniswap, QuickSwap, or 1inch to swap any token for USDC on Polygon.
You'll need a small amount of MATIC (about $0.01-0.10) for transaction fees on Polygon. Most exchanges let you withdraw MATIC directly, or you can use a faucet for small amounts.
Security Best Practices
Keep your wallet and funds safe with these essential security practices:
Never Share Your Seed Phrase
Your 12/24-word recovery phrase is the key to your wallet. Never share it with anyone, not even ChessStake support. We will never ask for it.
Verify Website URLs
Always check that you're on chessstake.com before connecting your wallet. Bookmark the official site to avoid phishing.
Review Transactions Carefully
Always review the transaction details in your wallet before confirming. Check the amount, recipient, and contract address.
Use Hardware Wallet for Large Amounts
For significant funds, consider using a hardware wallet like Ledger or Trezor with MetaMask for maximum security.
